NVIDIA and CoreWeave Strengthen Collaboration to Accelerate Buildout of AI Factories

Nvidia and CoreWeave on Monday announced an expanded strategic partnership aimed at rapidly scaling AI infrastructure, as Nvidia disclosed a $2 billion equity investment in the cloud computing company to support the construction of more than 5 gigawatts of AI factories by 2030.

As part of the deal, Nvidia purchased CoreWeave Class A common stock at $87.20 per share, underscoring its confidence in CoreWeave’s growth strategy and execution as a cloud platform built natively on Nvidia’s AI infrastructure.

The expanded collaboration deepens alignment across infrastructure, software, and platform architecture as global demand for AI compute continues to surge. The two companies plan to jointly:

  • Build and operate large-scale AI factories developed by CoreWeave using Nvidia’s accelerated computing platforms

  • Leverage Nvidia’s financial strength to help CoreWeave secure land, power, and facilities needed to accelerate deployment

  • Test and validate CoreWeave’s AI-native software and reference architecture, including SUNK and CoreWeave Mission Control, with the goal of integrating them into Nvidia’s reference architectures for cloud and enterprise customers

  • Deploy multiple generations of Nvidia hardware, including early adoption of the Rubin computing platform, Vera CPUs, and BlueField storage systems

“AI is entering its next frontier and driving the largest infrastructure buildout in human history,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of Nvidia. “CoreWeave’s deep AI factory expertise, platform software, and unmatched execution velocity are recognized across the industry. Together, we’re racing to meet extraordinary demand for Nvidia AI factories—the foundation of the AI industrial revolution.”

CoreWeave CEO Michael Intrator said the expanded partnership reflects growing demand as AI systems move from experimentation into large-scale production.

“From the very beginning, our collaboration has been guided by a simple conviction: AI succeeds when software, infrastructure, and operations are designed together,” Intrator said. “Nvidia is the leading and most requested computing platform at every phase of AI—from pre-training to post-training—and Blackwell delivers the lowest-cost architecture for inference.”

The partnership builds on CoreWeave’s purpose-built cloud platform and operational expertise, which the company says enables customers to run the most demanding AI workloads efficiently and reliably at scale. CoreWeave serves AI labs, startups, and global enterprises seeking high-performance infrastructure optimized for training and inference.

Nvidia’s investment and expanded collaboration come as hyperscalers and AI-native companies race to secure compute capacity amid unprecedented demand, positioning CoreWeave as a central player in the next phase of global AI infrastructure expansion.
