Datavault AI to Support Establishment of International Research Center Focused on Real-World Asset Digitization in Taiwan

Datavault AI Inc. (NASDAQ: DVLT) has signed a memorandum of understanding with St. John’s University in Taipei to support the creation of the RWA International Research Center, a new academic hub focused on real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, regulatory technology, and applied financial innovation.

Scheduled to open on January 26, 2026, the Center will serve as a platform for international academic collaboration and industry-academia partnerships, with an emphasis on developing responsible frameworks for digitizing physical assets using distributed-ledger and data technologies.

The initiative is expected to function as both a research and applied innovation effort, advancing standards, education, and cross-disciplinary cooperation around RWA tokenization. Datavault AI plans to contribute proprietary software to support growing demand across the Asia-Pacific region, where the RWA market is projected to reach approximately $2.5 billion by 2030.

As part of the collaboration, Datavault AI will support research and pilot programs using its Information Data Exchange® (IDE) and International Elements Exchange™ (IEE) platforms, which are designed to enable secure data attribution, governance, and lifecycle management. The company will also deploy VerifyU®, its credentialing and verification framework, to support identity validation, permissions, and compliance workflows within academic and applied research settings.

Over time, the Center is expected to evolve into a regional center of excellence for RWA attribution and management. The partners also plan to form a multi-university alliance in Taiwan, with longer-term ambitions to include academic institutions in Europe and the United States. Research areas are expected to include regulatory technology standardization, applied asset-digitization use cases, data governance, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations, and workforce development through coursework, micro-credentials, and internship programs.

“This collaboration reflects our commitment to research-led innovation,” said Datavault AI CEO Nathaniel Bradley. “By supporting an academic platform with clear governance and defined objectives, we aim to contribute technology and expertise that advance standards, education, and responsible adoption of RWA tokenization.”

Yen-Po Tang, president of St. John’s University, said the partnership underscores the university’s focus on bridging academic research with real-world application. “Through this collaboration, we aim to strengthen international academic exchange and help guide the responsible evolution of financial and data technologies,” he said.

Dr. Benjamin Tseng, executive director of the university’s board of trustees, added that Datavault AI’s combination of AI, data assetization, and real-world implementation aligns closely with the school’s vision for industry-academia collaboration.

The RWA International Research Center represents a growing push by both academic institutions and technology companies to formalize standards and governance as tokenization of physical assets gains traction globally.
